A nose that belongs naturally to your face.

Your nose is part of what makes your face yours. At Cosmetiq Hospital, every rhinoplasty is performed with piezo ultrasonic surgery, for precise bone shaping that is gentler on the surrounding tissues.

Led by Dr. Bibilash Babu, our approach combines experience with Indian noses, careful structural planning, and respect for individual identity. We aim for a natural-looking nose that sits harmoniously with your eyes, cheeks, lips, and chin, and functions well.

The Cosmetiq standard

Every rhinoplasty, performed with piezo ultrasonic surgery

Piezo instruments use ultrasonic vibrations to cut and sculpt bone with fine control, in place of the chisels and rasps used in conventional rhinoplasty. At Cosmetiq, piezo surgery is used in 100% of our rhinoplasty cases.

Precise bone shaping

Bone is sculpted in fine, controlled steps rather than broken with a chisel.

Gentler on soft tissue

The instrument acts on bone while sparing skin, lining and blood vessels, which helps reduce bruising and swelling.

A smoother bony profile

Careful sculpting and refining of the bone helps create a smooth, even nasal bridge.

A gentler early recovery

Less soft-tissue injury can mean a faster, more comfortable early recovery. Individual healing still varies.

Rhinoplasty at Cosmetiq is performed in our NABH-accredited operating theatre.

Our philosophy

Understand the face before changing the nose

A beautiful nose cannot be designed in isolation.

Its height, width, length, projection, and tip position must work with the rest of your face. Your skin thickness, cartilage strength, breathing, and previous treatments are equally important.

For some patients, balance comes from reducing a prominent bridge. For others, it means building support, lengthening a short nose, refining the tip, or preserving features that already suit them.

At Cosmetiq, these decisions guide the technique. Every surgical plan is built around the patient’s anatomy and goals, with an honest discussion of what can realistically be achieved.

Our aim is for your face to look balanced and naturally yours.

Indian noses & thick skin

Experience with Indian noses and thick skin

Indian noses have a wide range of shapes and structural characteristics. Some have thick skin over relatively delicate cartilage; others need greater height, projection, or tip support. Our practice has a particular focus on these challenges.

When skin is thick, simply reducing the cartilage underneath may not produce the definition a patient hopes for. We assess how much support the nose needs and how the skin is likely to settle over its new framework.

Your own cartilage. No synthetic implants.

Where additional support is required, we use the patient’s own cartilage, including rib cartilage when appropriate. We do not use synthetic nasal implants.

We also explain the limits imposed by skin thickness. The goal is a balanced, well-supported nose with a realistic degree of refinement.

Types of rhinoplasty

The technique follows your nose

Our work includes first-time rhinoplasty, short-nose correction, thick-skinned noses, and complex revision surgery. Depending on your needs, your plan may include:

Open rhinoplasty

Allows direct access for detailed reshaping and structural reconstruction.

Closed rhinoplasty

Uses incisions within the nostrils in suitable cases.

Preservation rhinoplasty

Preserves selected natural structures while reshaping the nose, where anatomy allows.

Structural rhinoplasty

Builds or restores support to improve shape, stability, and, where indicated, breathing.

Cartilage grafting

Uses your own cartilage when additional height, length, projection, or support is needed.

These approaches can overlap. Your surgeon will explain which combination suits your nose and why.

Revision rhinoplasty

A careful reassessment

If you have had previous nasal surgery and remain concerned about its appearance or breathing, the next step begins with understanding what has changed.

Your journey

Your rhinoplasty journey at Cosmetiq

1

A consultation that starts with listening

We begin with what concerns you, and what you would like to retain. Your consultation includes an examination of your nose and facial proportions, skin and cartilage assessment, breathing evaluation, and a review of your medical history. We look at your face from multiple angles because a profile view alone cannot tell the whole story.

2

Understand the possibilities before deciding

We use clinical photographs and simulations to discuss potential changes and align expectations. Simulations are planning tools, rather than promises of an exact result. You can also review before-and-after photographs of consenting patients, and we explain the procedure, recovery, alternatives, and risks.

3

Surgery in an accredited hospital setting

Your surgery takes place at Cosmetiq Hospital, an NABH-accredited hospital housed in a green building, with anaesthesia care and postoperative monitoring. Suitable patients generally return home on the same day, once the surgical and anaesthesia teams confirm that discharge is appropriate. More complex surgery or individual medical needs may require longer observation.

4

Support through the first week

Our usual pathway includes a review the following day, when internal nasal splints are generally removed if appropriate. The external splint is usually removed around the seventh day. Splint timing may change when your surgery requires a different plan.

5

Follow-up as your nose settles

Splint removal is an early milestone. Your nose continues to heal and refine afterwards. We guide you on nasal care, swelling, returning to work, exercise, and follow-up visits.

Recovery

Recovery is as individual as your surgery

Returning to everyday activities and seeing the final shape are different stages of recovery. Thick skin, extensive reshaping, and revision surgery may require more time for swelling to settle and definition to emerge.

Selected minor corrections, augmentation procedures, or preservation approaches may settle sooner, but the extent of surgery and individual healing matter more than the procedure’s name.

Because piezo surgery works on bone while sparing soft tissue, many patients have less bruising and swelling in the early days. Final healing time still depends on your skin, the extent of surgery and your own recovery.

Function

Appearance and breathing considered together

Aesthetic planning includes attention to nasal function. If you have a deviated nasal septum, obstruction, or other breathing concerns, these are assessed during consultation.

Where appropriate, functional treatment can be planned alongside reshaping, with additional specialist assessment when needed. We discuss the expected benefits and limitations of each part of your treatment.

Packages & insurance

Clear packages and insurance guidance

Your package

Our rhinoplasty packages support your journey from initial evaluation through surgery and planned recovery follow-up. Before you proceed, you receive a written explanation of the package, its inclusions, and any exclusions or additional charges.

Insurance

Insurance may cover medically necessary treatment such as surgery for a deviated nasal septum or certain sinus conditions, depending on your policy and insurer approval. The cosmetic component of rhinoplasty is generally excluded. Our team can help with the documentation needed to clarify eligibility.
